Our Bulldogs...

Thankyou for stopping by and visiting our
site. Our family has enjoyed showing,
breeding and loving bulldogs for some
time now. This site is a collection of
pictures, bulldog & french bulldog
information,pedigrees and bully history.

We beleive strongly in mentoring and
helping our fellow bulldoggers. Feel free
to email with any questions you may have
with regards to bullies, french bulldogs
and junior handling.

We are active members of The Bulldog
Club of America, Houston Kennel Club,
and in currently in the developement
process of a local French Bulldog club in
Houston, Texas.

We have served as members and officers
in the past of the following clubs; Great
Dane Club of Greater Houston,Texas
Working Dog Association, the Board of
Directors for The Waterloo Kennel Club,
Bulldog Club of Iowa and the Bulldog Club
of Texas. We will continue to support the
clubs and breed education  and encourage
others to become active and participate.

We share our home with our children
Christopher, Jennifer,Danielle, Kathy,
and Eugene.

Richard Somers has been raised with
bulldogs all his life in sunny Crisfield,
Maryland. His love for the breed spilled
over into the marriage when Richard and I
met in 1998. We are both still very active
with showing and raising quality bulldogs.

After relocation to Houston, Texas,
Richard and I purchased a lovely girl
"Popcorn"..aka" Abe's Notorious Duchess
from a neighbor. She has the attitude and
flash for any show ring and has been
handled by all of our 5 children in the Junior
rings. She has her Beginners Agilty certificate.
Although Popcorn is tall for the standard,
she makes up for it in love, attitude and
movement.

We purchased her brother, "Gordie" ...aka
"Abe's Notorious Gambler from our
neighbor 5 months later. Richard had always
wanted a white male to mirror the bully he
had as a youth. Gordie enjoyed some
limited show for ribbons but is much better
content as family pet. Gordie is adored by
the Krause family in Iowa.

Having been bitten by the show-ring bug...
we decided to purchase a lovely 8 week
old girl from a friend. "Dottie"...aka
"Rocksteady's Naughty Dottie"..proved to
be the ring potential and breeding we were
looking for. Her first experience in the show
ring at 6months old, Dottie won her first
points under Ken Buxton in San Antonio.
Dottie also lived up to her name being very
naughty inside and outside the ring that day!
Dottie is major pointed and looking for 2
points to finish. Sadly, Dottie passed away
in November of 2005.
We miss you Dottie!

We continued to look for a "Special Male"
to add to our breeding program that
complimented our lines. We found "Gator"
at 5mths old at fellow Bulldoggers Sheri &
Barbara Morgan. After crawling into our
laps and hearts Gator joined our Somers'
clan. Gator is pointed and is loved by the
Smith family in Iowa.

Our first litter that we bred with our
Popcorn resulted in 4 lovely healthy girls
out of CH.Hobtop Picalo. Little Donna has
become the spitting image of Toby's mom...
a goal we were breeding for. Donna has
produced outstanding pups which are
currently major pointed and one who has
finished his championship.Donna is currently
retired and leading a leisurely life on a sofa
with Stephanie and family in Canton TX.
